Captain Clive Redgate Ret'd

Parade Marshall Goodna RSL

The brains behind the ‘Remember’ illustration competition, Clive’s decorated military career began in 1971, when he began National Service in the New Zealand Armed Forces. Six years later he trained and served in the SAS as a Sig Patrolman and Medic for 10 years, and in 1996, after completing his medical training, he was recruited into the nursing corps of the Australian Armed Forces, as a theatre trauma nurse. His active service includes Timor, Afghanistan, Bougainville, and finally Singapore, in the 6th Battalion, as Infantry and Medical RAP.

A 43 year career in both the Army and Airforce, serving Australia and New Zealand, and a senior nursing officer if three theatres of war, Clive has also been very active in supporting his fellow soldiers. He has been with the Goodna RSL for over 24 years, during which time he has held positions of Vice-President, Deputy President, and President. One of the instigators to bringing this book to life in 2019, Clive is a very proud supporter of ‘Remember – Lest We Forget’.
